The Tudors

I’m not a history buff, but the Showtime drama series, The Tudors, made me want to know everything about Jonathan Rhys Meyers…uh, I mean King Henry VIII. I watched all four seasons, and I honestly can’t wait to watch it over and over again now that it’s available on DVD. Needless to say, this is not a show to watch with anyone other than who you want to aroused around. It’s as close to ‘skinemax’ as it’s going to get…but with better costumes and a much more intriguing storyline. So set aside a few hours, grab some popcorn, and enjoy!

I can’t say it enough…if you haven’t seen this movie, you’re really missing out. Closer (2004) is such a painfully accurate portrayal of love and sex. I can easily relate to each character, but mostly to Alice (played by Natalie Portman). One of her best lines in the movie is “Lying’s the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off… but it’s better if you do.” Bingo…I couldn’t have said it better myself!
Here’s another phenomenal example of the gritty back and forth dialogue between Anna (Julia Roberts) and Larry (Clive Owen) after she admits to cheating:
Anna: We do everything that people who have sex do!
Larry: Do you enjoy sucking him off?
Anna: Yes!
Larry: You like his cock?
Anna: I love it!
Larry: You like him coming in your face?
Anna: Yes!
Larry: What does it taste like?
Anna: It tastes like you but sweeter!
Larry: That’s the spirit. Thank you. Thank you for your honesty. Now fuck off and die, you fucked up slag!
Now if that didn’t convince you to rent this movie immediately, then you’re on the wrong blog! Just go watch it, dammit!!!
